Content marketing services for small business

Service pages and blog posts written to the searches your customers type. A fixed number of pieces, a fixed price, and a date they go live.

Two sprints, one for each kind of page

Most small business sites are missing the pages that sell before they are missing a blog. Start with service pages if a service you offer has no page of its own; add a blog pack once they exist.

Service pages

Three service pages written to the searches your customers actually type.

Keyword research for each service, a brief with the competitors read, 800 to 1,200 words a page, and the on-page elements done.

$1,800 for 3 pages, 4 to 6 weeks

$3,000 for 6 pages on a site up to 50 pages. Larger sites quoted.

Blog pack

Four posts that answer the questions people ask about what you sell.

Topics picked from the gaps in your Search Console, a brief for each, 600 to 800 words, and links back to your service pages.

$1,500 for 4 posts, 6 weeks

$2,700 for 8 posts on a site up to 50 pages. Larger sites quoted.

Chosen from your data, not a brainstorm

Every page or post starts with research you can see. Nothing is written because it sounded like a good topic in a meeting.

How a content sprint runs

  1. Kickoff and research

A call about who you sell to and what they ask. Then we read your Search Console, your sitemap and the pages that rank for the searches you want.

On your board: the sprint card with its scope and end date.

  2. Briefs and sign-off

Each page or post gets a brief: the keyword it targets, the outline, the competitors read. You see every brief and sign off before writing starts.

On your board: one task per page or post.

  3. Writing and revisions

We write to the brief. You get two revision rounds on each piece, written into the scope, so changes are expected and not an extra.

On your board: drafts attached to their tasks, with your comments beside them.

  4. Publish and hand over

The pages go live with their titles, descriptions and internal links in place. You get every piece in one list with its live link.

On your board: every output with its live URL.

In-house, retainer or sprint

Questions we get

What is included in content marketing services for small businesses?

It varies a lot by agency, so ask for a list. Ours is two sprints. Service pages: Keyword research per service, a brief with the competitors read, 800 to 1,200 words a page, on-page elements, two revision rounds. Blog pack: Topics chosen from your Search Console gaps, a brief each, 600 to 800 words, internal links to your service pages.

How much do content marketing services cost for a small business?

Here, $1,800 for three service pages and $1,500 for four blog posts on a site up to 20 pages, or $3,000 and $2,700 for twice the volume on a site up to 50 pages. The price is fixed before we start.

What is the difference between a content sprint and a monthly retainer?

A retainer buys hours each month and the topics are chosen as you go. A sprint buys a set number of pages or posts, each with a brief you approved, delivered by an end date. When it ends nothing renews.

How long does a content marketing sprint take?

4 to 6 weeks for service pages and 6 weeks for a blog pack. The end date is on your sprint card before work starts.

What types of content are best for small businesses?

In our view, service pages first: one page for each thing you sell, written to the search a customer types when they are ready to buy. Blog posts come next, answering the questions people ask on the way there and linking back to those pages.

Can I white-label your content marketing for my agency?

Yes. Agencies order either sprint at the partner rate, 25 to 35 percent off list, and deliver it under their own name. The board and the report carry your branding, and we never contact your client.
